Poland to host Iran films

Iranian films ‘Cyanide’ and ‘Mina’s Option’ have been set to vie at the International Historical and Military Film Festival in Poland.

Directed by Kamal Tabrizi in 2015, ‘Mina’s Option’ is written by Farhad Tohidi and produced by Manouchehr Mohammadi.

Set in 1980s, the film narrates the story of the happy marriage of Mina and Mehran, which is broken in the wake of mistrust and finally infidelity.

Milad Keymaram, Mina Sadati, Shahrokh Foroutanian, Behrang Alavi, Shayesteh Irani and Siamak Ehsaei star in the movie.

Being a historical picture, ‘Cyanide’ directed by Behrouz Shoeibi underlines the choice between life and death, heroic living or graceful dying.

“Amir and Homa find each other after a while. Yet they have just one choice: cyanide or survival, and they choose to live,” a synopsis of the film read.

The film’s cast members include Mehdi Hashemi, Haniyeh Tavassoli, Babak Hamidian, Hamed Komeili, Pedram Sharifi, Behnoush Tabatabaei and Atila Pesyani.

The main objective of the Historical and Military Film Festival is to promote military films which help us to realize how history is important in our lives and how much we need to learn to understand worldwide dependence, the official website of the festival wrote.

The event is to be launched on October 23, 2017, in Warsaw, Poland.
